Booking the Depot
Interested in performing at the Depot? We welcome your ideas. Here are some things you should know:
The Depot is operated in partnership with the Philipstown Recreation Department. It is located in the heart of the Hudson Highlands, an hour north of New York City in the Putnam County hamlet of Garrison. Just a few dozen steps beyond the Depot's porch runs the Hudson River. On the opposite bank stands the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
The building has 67 fixed seats and room for 12 more in an alcove near the stage. Fire regulations limit total capacity to 95 people. The stage is 18 feet by 19 feet; the backstage area includes dressing rooms and two bathrooms. A separate room at the south end of the building serves as the lobby and comprises a concessions counter and an open seating area.
We produce a variety of shows—musicals, plays, readings, film screenings, musical performances, among others—throughout the year and maintain a relatively full calendar. That said, we welcome proposals for new productions and performances.
